Optimum Behavioral Health in San Diego, CA is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a full-time position. The role includes supervising RBTs and staff, developing ABA programs, and collaborating with families and professionals to promote skill acquisition and generalization.

The BCBA will conduct assessments, design treatment plans, monitor progress, and ensure documentation meets regulatory and ethical standards. A strong background in ABA and data-driven practice is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.
• Current BCBA certification.
• 1 year experience providing ABA services and developing individualized behavior programs.
• Strong understanding of behavioral principles, assessment procedures, data analysis, and evidence-based ABA practices.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assessments (FBAs) as appropriate.

Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000

Key Responsibilities

• assessments (FBAs), as appropriate.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans based on assessment results and client needs.
• Design and implement evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs.
• Establish measurable treatment goals and monitor progress toward those goals.
• Review and analyze clinical data to evaluate treatment effectiveness and make data-driven program modifications.
• Provide ongoing clinical oversight and supervision of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), behavior technicians, and other direct-care staff.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to staff pursuing BCBA/BCaBA certification when applicable.
• Conduct regular caregiver and family training and provide support to promote generalization of skills across environments.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other professionals as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation, progress notes, treatment plans, and reports.
• Communicate treatment progress and recommendations effectively with families and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure services are delivered in accordance with the BACB Ethics Code, applicable laws, payer requirements, and organizational policies.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development.
• Maintain client confidentiality and uphold HIPAA and other applicable privacy requirements.
• Promote a respectful, supportive, and culturally responsive environment for clients, families, and team members.
• Perform other clinical duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field.
• Current BCBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
• 1 year experience providing ABA services and developing individualized behavior programs.
• Strong understanding of behavioral principles, assessment procedures, data analysis, and evidence-based ABA practices.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ethical and client-centered care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with children and/or adults with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities.
• Experience conducting functional behavior assessments and functional analyses, when clinically appropriate.
• Experience supervising RBTs or other behavioral staff.
• Experience providing caregiver training.
• Experience working across home, clinic, school, or community settings.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems (CentralReach).
• Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
