Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in New Bern, NC is seeking a BCBA to lead our EMPOWER program across homes, schools, and communities in Eastern NC. This full-time exempt role offers flexibility to shape your caseload and mentor teams with ABA best practices.

You will travel regionally to EMPOWER sites, receive a competitive salary and full benefits, with PSLF-eligible support and a strong commitment to work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a BCBA in NC.
• 1+ years working with children with developmental disabilities or autism preferred.
• 1+ years in supervisory or leadership capacity preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time management.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and driving privileges.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office & EMR systems.
• Ability to work effectively with participants, families, and teams in homes, schools, and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead behavior support programs fostering family engagement and measurable growth.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop Positive Behavior Support Plans.
• Train and mentor staff, DSPs, and supervisors in ABA best practices.
• Collaborate across service lines (EMPOWER, IC/S, ABA) to maximize outcomes.
• Deliver in-service training and represent ESPH at professional conferences.

This position is a full-time opportunity in a facility in New Bern.

Salary: $$80,000 (DOE) + Full Benefits + Professional Development Support

Schedule: Flexible M–F | Regional Travel to our New Bern EMPOWER location

This role may include variable regional travel requirement to other EMPOWER sites, depending on program needs.All work-related travel is reimbursed via mileage pay. You’ll have flexibility to plan travel around program needs while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensure: Licensed Behavioral Analyst in NC
• Experience:
• 1+ years working with children with developmental disabilities and/or autism (preferred)
• 1+ years in a supervisory or leadership capacity (preferred)
• Strong written/verbal communication, organization, and time management skills
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and unrestricted driving privileges
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office & EMR systems
• Ability to work effectively with participants, families, and teams in homes, schools, and community settings
