Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services is seeking three full-time Board-Certified Anesthesiology Physicians to support the Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, VA. The role focuses on efficient patient care for veterans, delivering high-quality, compassionate anesthesia services on-site.

Shifts run Monday through Friday with on-call coverage after hours, and the position is a 1099 contract. Applicants must hold an active US license, board certification, and BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Must have a BLS or ACLS from the American Heart Association.
• Hold an active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States or DC.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
• Must be a Board-Certified Anesthesia Physician.
• Must have proof of Medical Liability Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical anesthesiology services across diverse surgical cases including cardiac, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, neurosurgical, plastic, ENT, urologic and ophthalmologic operations.
• Deliver clinical care for patients undergoing electroconvulsive therapy and procedures in cath lab, EP, GI and radiology suites.
• Provide primary coverage for surgical ICU, short stay, pain management, and emergency airway management.
• Offer bedside consults when the patient is non-ambulatory and in outpatient clinics when able.
• Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions coordinated with the next care setting.
• Ensure notification of test results in accordance with VHA Directive 1088.
