Job summary

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship required.
• Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a US state or territory.
• Completed residency in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility.
• Board certification or board eligibility preferred.
• Eligibility for appointment under VA qualification standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia services and follow-up care for surgical patients.
• Supervise CRNAs during anesthesia administration and provide needed anesthesia consultation.
• Document services with appropriate notes such as history, physical, and anesthesia consult.
• Participate in Morbidity and Mortality conferences and on-call duties as needed.
• Develop and review policies for the Surgical Care Service Line and ensure regulatory compliance.
