Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is recruiting an Anesthesiologist to provide onsite services for the Salem VA Health Care System in Salem, VA. Shift schedules are typically Mon-Fri 0700-1330 with call, with opportunities for full-time and locum tenens positions.

The role requires Board Certified/Eligible status, an unrestricted US medical license, and MD or DO credentials, plus active BLS/ACLS and a DEA license. Candidates must pass a federal background check.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Active, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State/ territory/DC.
• MD or DO degree requirement.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Active DEA license.
• Must be able to pass a federal background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesiology services for cardiac, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, neurosurgical, plastic, ENT, urologic and ophthalmologic surgeries.
• Provide anesthesia care for ECT, cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, GI and radiology procedures.
• Provide primary coverage for SICU, Short Stay Unit, acute and chronic pain management, and diagnostic transesophageal echocardiography.
• Perform bedside and outpatient clinic consultations as appropriate.
• Follow VA medication policies and procedures.
• Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions to patients.
• Communicate test results in accordance with VA requirements.
• Document all patient care in the VA electronic health record system.
