Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree with RN eligibility in Texas.
• Active RN license in Texas or compact.
• BLS from American Heart Association required; 1 year nursing experience; pediatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents patient/family assessment.
• Develops an individualized plan of care within 24 hours of admission.
• Executes nursing interventions per standards of practice.
• Identifies changes in patient condition and uses appropriate interventions.
• Identifies learning barriers and uses teaching strategies for patient/family.
• Maintains effective communication with health care team for timely diagnostic and patient flow.
• Demonstrates delegation and prioritization skills.
