Job summary

Texas Children's in Houston is seeking a Labor & Delivery Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will assess, plan, educate, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate care with family-centered principles and cost-effective practices.

Responsibilities include collaborating with patients and families, coordinating care, and maintaining professional development while meeting unit goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or BSN-in-progress with agreement
• Current RN licensure in Texas or compact
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
• 9 months of professional nursing experience
• L&D, Triage, Antepartum, and Mother/Baby Unit experience
• Knowledge of health teaching and prevention of illness
• Knowledge of administration of medications and nursing practices
• Strong interpersonal and time-management skills
• Must undergo respiratory fit testing per safety standards
