Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association.
• 9 months of professional nursing experience required.
• Enrollment in BSN program or BSN-equivalency with signed agreement.

Responsibilities

• Collect data including vital signs, head-to-toe assessment, and reason for visit.
• Prepare patient for examination per site protocol.
• Assist provider during treatments, examinations and testing per site protocol.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed by physician per site protocol.
• Document administration of medications and immunizations in the medical record.
• Triages presenting patient complaint per site protocol.
• Coordinates referrals and educates patient/family per clinician instruction.
