Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking an APP Supervisor for Bone Marrow Transplant & Cellular Therapy. You will supervise NP/PA providers, oversee daily operations, and provide direct oncology care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires NP/PA certification, CA licensure, and strong leadership skills to coordinate care, education, and performance initiatives within a busy cancer center.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• NP: Current California RN license, Nurse Practitioner license (ACNP/Family/Adult Gerontology).
• PA: Current California PA license and NCCPA certification.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at hire with ART within 6 months.
• Minimum 3 years as licensed NP or PA in Hem/Onc or BMT.
• Strong supervisory and staff development capabilities.
• Knowledge of HR policies and performance documentation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with clinical and administrative software used in advanced nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise APPs in daily operations across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with Hematology/Cellular Therapy leadership to improve APP functions.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within oncology and transplant settings.
• Develop and implement Best Practice Models for APPs.
• Oversee staff development, training, and performance evaluation.
