Job summary

University of California San Diego Medical Centers seeks an experienced APP Supervisor to oversee Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in both inpatient and outpatient oncology services. The role combines clinical care with leadership responsibilities under Hematology and Cellular Therapy leadership.

The supervisor will guide daily operations, ensure quality and ethics in APP-delivered care, and drive program development across specialties.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six months.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (NPs and PAs) in inpatient and outpatient oncology settings.
• Collaborate with Hematology and Cellular Therapy leadership and other departments to implement APP Best Practice Models.
• Provide direct care to oncology patients and families, including exams, orders, diagnoses, and care plans.
