Job summary

UC San Diego Health seeks an APP Supervisor to oversee Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in Hematology, Cellular Therapy, and Bone Marrow Transplantation. The role combines supervision of APPs with hands-on clinical care for oncology patients and families, in collaboration with faculty.

Responsibilities include daily operations oversight, development of new programs, and ensuring adherence to quality, ethics, and performance standards across specialties within the medical center.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• California NP license or PA license (as applicable).
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Advanced Practice Providers in daily operations.
• Ensure ethics and quality standards in patient care by APPs; coordinate with management.
• Develop and implement APP Best Practice Models and staff development plans.
• Provide direct clinical care in oncology, with collaboration across departments.
