Job summary

UC San Diego is seeking an APP Supervisor in Hematology and Cellular Therapy to lead Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in both inpatient and outpatient oncology settings. You will supervise daily operations, ensure ethics and quality standards, and collaborate with senior management on program development.

Clinical duties include exams, ordering tests, diagnoses, plans of care, and education for patients and families, with opportunities for professional development and system-wide

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current CA RN license and NP license or CA PA license with NCCPA certification.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to ART within six months.
• Minimum three years as licensed NP/PA in Hem/Onc or BMT.
• Ability to supervise a team and manage complex workflows in oncology.

Responsibilities

• Supervise APPs in daily operations and ensure quality patient care.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement APP Best Practice Models.
• Provide clinical care to oncology patients and families in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Develop plans of care, document history, and educate patients and families.
• Train and mentor staff and participate in HR-related decisions.
