Advocate Health is seeking a Unit Secretary for the 7 Cancer Center WEST: BMT in Winston-Salem, NC. The role supports a 17-bed adult specialty unit providing cellular therapy, chemotherapy, and transplant recovery, with evenings 3pm-11pm and four 8-hour shifts per week, including weekend rotation.

You will perform clerical duties, scheduling, admissions, and communications under RN supervision, with opportunities to grow in a patient-centered care environment.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Unit secretary course or equivalent preferred.
• Clerical experience preferred.

• Performs clerical duties for scheduling, admissions, procedures, transfers, and discharges under RN direction.
• Supports and screens calls; transmits messages as needed.
• Contributes to a safe, secure and therapeutic environment per procedures.
• Ensures confidential, accurate, timely patient information communication.
• Completes requisitions and nursing communication forms.
• Communicates effectively with team, patients, and families.
• Takes initiative for performance and professional growth.
• Maintains organized, quiet, efficient work; manages stress.
• Completes unit tasks and assists colleagues when time permits.
• Delivers age-appropriate patient care per guidelines.
