Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the 7 Cancer Center WEST: BMT unit. The role focuses on high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy conditioning, and post-transplant cell recovery.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in oncology, BMT/Chemo experience preferred, and hold an active RN license with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of RN Oncology experience.
• BMT or Chemo experience highly preferred.
• RN license in the practicing state (NC).
• Completion of an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum with evidence-based practice and strong communication.

Registered Nurse (RN) - 7 Cancer Center WEST: BMT

Where You Will Work

7 West is a 17-bed adult specialty unit that provides high-quality nursing care for our patients when they are receiving a Bone Marrow Transplant. Our specialties include Chemotherapy, conditioning for transplants as well as cell recovery post-transplant. The length of stay on this unit is around 25 days. All cellular therapy products are administered in this unit.

We’re Looking For

• Required: At least & 2+ years of RN Oncology experience
• Highly preferred: BMT or Chemo experience
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

What You’ll Do

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
