Job summary

UNC Health Care System’s Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a registered nurse with oncology and BMT experience to provide competent clinical nursing care in a 40-hour day-shift role. You will coordinate patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting and report to the Nurse Manager/Director.

Qualifications include NC RN licensure, BLS, and at least one year of nursing experience; BSN preferred by policy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Licensed to practice as an RN in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Education: identify learning needs and provide patient education materials.
• Evaluation of care: collaborate in plan of care and adjust as needed.
• Implementation: manage care for patients with complex problems and coordinate resources.
• Leadership: support unit goals, promote cost-effective care, and communicate effectively.
• Patient assessment: synthesize data to determine care priorities and discharge planning.
• Planning: update plans with patient/family and use multidisciplinary resources.
• Research: stay updated with journals and apply relevant findings.
