Job summary

M.C. Dean in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Building Management Control System (BMCSS) Technician to monitor, operate, test, and maintain building automation systems.

You will apply adjustments in BACnet-based controls and work with Distech, EcoStruxure, and TAC i-net platforms, handling tenant calls, work orders, alarms, and fault conditions. The role requires 3+ years BAS monitoring, DDC experience, ability to read technical docs, and strong customer communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years in building controls.
• Vocational or associate degree in a technical trade preferred.
• Three years BAS monitoring and DDC controls experience in building controls.
• Ability to read and interpret sequences of operations and specifications.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic communications wiring and control logic.
• Good customer communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Log and identify problem areas in the building.
• Assist other trades in troubleshooting building systems.
• Monitor alarms, provide reports and triage system messages.
• Back up application software and check network integrity of control devices.
• Debug and simulate programs; calibrate hardware/software; test components.
• Respond to service calls and develop maintenance programs; on-call as needed.
• Maintain procedures and checklists for service calls and maintenance tasks.
• Communicate with management and admin teams; escalate issues as needed.
