Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Automation Engineer to perform Master Systems Integration of BMS, build control databases, and create user interfaces based on project specifications. The role includes on-site and remote support, field startup, and software installation for enterprise clients.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Travel up to 30% is required, with overnight trips up to a week. Strong knowledge of Niagara, Distech, BACnet/Modbus, and HVAC controls is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical or software.
• Experience with building management systems and control software.
• Familiarity with industry standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Create complex programming using flow diagrams and panel layouts.
• Program control applications with various software tools.
• Site checkout, commissioning, and testing of control applications.
• Verify operation against project specs and designs.
• Develop system graphics per specifications or proposals.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
• Evaluate system performance and diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot escalated issues and implement fixes.
• Document resolutions and report to project team.
• Apply standard principles to complete tasks and solve routine problems.
• Maintain broad knowledge across related disciplines.
• Support management of software tools.
• Impact quality of own work and teammates' output.
• Work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines.
• Explain complex information clearly to others.
