Job summary

Daedalus Industrial in Richmond, VA is seeking an Electrical Installation Project Manager with deep expertise in Building Management Systems to lead BMS design, installation, and commissioning on active construction sites.

The role requires hands-on technical ability, strong project management, and the ability to coordinate with PLC integrators and vendors while ensuring safety, standards, and on-time delivery of low-voltage installations including CAT6 and fiber optic cabling.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years hands-on experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and building controls.
• Datacenter construction & design experience is required.
• Knowledge of building controls (HVAC, lighting, access) and low-voltage wiring.
• Experience with CAT6 and fiber optic cabling, splicing, and terminations.
• PLC programming and industrial controls knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert for BMS design, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee low-voltage wiring, conduit, and cable installations on site.
• Lead cable terminations, testing, and certifications.
• Coordinate with PLC integrator and vendors on RFIs and change orders.
• Manage BMS-related project tasks within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety requirements.
