Job summary

Mountain View Hospital is seeking an Admissions Clerk to join our team. The role involves reviewing discharged medical records for completeness, ensuring correct chart entry into the deficiency system, and monitoring daily admissions for duplicate record numbers.

You will communicate with physicians about delinquent reports, assist in chart retrieval, and support the coder by forwarding charts and maintaining organized records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to use hospital information system.
• Good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Mountain View Hospital is looking for an Admissions Clerk to join our team!JOB SUMMARY:Reviews medical records after discharge for completeness in compliance with the hospitals bylaws, federal and state requirements. Assures that patient’s abstracts are correctly entered into the chart deficiency system. Monitors accounts being admitted daily for duplication of medical records numbers, along with checking patients discharge status when assembling the chart. Communicates with physicians about delinquent reports. Assures the completion of incomplete medical records within the time frame as specified by the medical staff rules and regulations. Is familiar with requirements of the state guidelines of timeframes for processing of the charts such as the History and Physical and Operatives report timeframes allowed.
