Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in offices and clinics across our network in Idaho. You will perform both clinical tasks and essential administrative duties under supervision, helping ensure smooth patient flow and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities include taking histories, vital signs, basic lab work, preparing patients for exams, and assisting physicians. Strong English communication and a basic medical terminology background are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; preferred completion of a CAAHEP/ABHES accredited medical assisting program.
• BLS certification within two weeks of hire.
• Strong English communication and medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Administrative duties: schedule appointments, answer phones, greet patients, and file records.
• Handle insurance forms, billing, and correspondence.
• Take medical histories and vital signs; assist during exams.
• Collect laboratory specimens and perform basic tests; explain treatments to patients.

Prefer graduation of a post-secondary medical assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) and/or 6-12 month clinical experience.
