Job summary

Daifuku North America is seeking a detail-oriented assembler for first shift in Hobart, IN. The role involves sub-assembly and packaging per drawings, inspecting finished products, and maintaining tools and workspace to meet quality standards.

You will follow supervisor instructions, use measurement tools, and document progress in a computer system. Qualified candidates will read blueprints, understand decimal measurements and basic math, and have at least 1 year of machine assembly experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read exact measurements on a tape measure.
• Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of machine assembly experience.
• Ability to read complex assembly drawings and blueprints.
• Good verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Completes sub-assembly and packaging processes according to procedures.
• Perform sub-assembly based on drawings and supervisor instructions.
• Inspect, operate, and test assemblies for quality and conformance.
• Clean and lubricate parts and assemblies.
• Maintain personal tool inventory and clean work area.
• Record assembly status using a computer and follow safety rules.
• Work overtime and shift as needed.
• Comply with Daifuku QMS policies and drive continuous improvement.
