Job summary

Daifuku North America is seeking a Machine Operator in Hobart, IN to operate CNC machines, cut and assemble rollers, and support the assembly line. The role requires reading blueprints, measuring parts, and maintaining shop safety on the 2nd shift (1:30am–10:00pm).

You will work with band saws, calipers, and precision tools to produce high-volume parts while upholding quality standards and QMS requirements. Prior experience and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to use a band saw, hand tools and calipers and perform milling, turning, drilling, taping, deburring, molding, and all bench operations.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of standard and metric measurements.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Team orientation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Measuring and setting up machines to manufacture a high volume of parts.
• Performing machine shop and mold press operations to support Assembly.
• Detecting defective materials and questionable conditions and reports to the manager.
• Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Following safety regulations.
• Performing preventative maintenance on machines.
• Employees are responsible for complying with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
• Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
