Job Description

To produce all assigned menu items efficiently and consistently while following the specifications, recipes, and techniques of Kj’s and the Bluebird Kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, dairy, and other food items using appropriate kitchen equipment.
• Process prepared foods for service using standard kitchen equipment.
• Ensure each item is prepared according to recipe specifications and documentation.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area during and after service.
• Stock inventory appropriately and according to established standards.
• Ensure the quality, food safety, sanitation, and timeliness of products served.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards throughout the department.
• Provide guest service consistent with our standards.
• Ensure product quality meets company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Ability to actively engage guests.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
• Knowledge of kitchen operations.

• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate effectively and take direction from supervision.
