Business Leadership Program Internship Overview

Synchrony's Business Leadership Program Summer Internship is a 10‑week paid assignment in one of ten tracks. During the summer, each intern works on projects that are important to the business, contributing to innovation. Interns receive an immersive orientation, an Intern Summer Series to meet and network with leaders, and ongoing support from a team and mentors.

What You’ll Accomplish

As an HR track intern, you will jump‑start your career through projects with HR specialists on compensation, benefits, talent development, staffing, culture initiatives, corporate citizenship, and diversity & inclusion.

Basic Qualifications & Requirements

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in a Human Resources discipline
• Excellent academic record – Minimum overall 3.0 GPA or higher
• 1–2 years of HR‑related work experience
• Available for 10 consecutive weeks during the internship (June – August)
• Must be able to work a minimum of 40‑hour week
• Must be 18 years or older
• Will undergo a background investigation and drug screening
• Must satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act

Legal Authorization & Drug Test

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor employment visas. All applicants will be required to submit to a background investigation, drug test and fingerprinting as part of the onboarding process.
