Job summary

Altium Packaging in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to operate blow mold, grinder and trimmer machines and support the production line. You will troubleshoot process problems and perform minor maintenance to keep the line running smoothly.

Team collaboration is essential to maximize efficiency and profits. Requirements include a high school diploma and 2+ years as a machine operator, with experience on blow mold machinery preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as a machine operator.
• 2+ years’ blow mold machine operation preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Working knowledge of high-speed machinery and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Set up machines to start a production cycle (calibration, cleaning).
• Control and adjust machine settings (speed).
• Operate blow-mold machines (wheel, reciprocator or shuttle).
• Perform audits, weights and quality checks.
• Check output for machine-related mistakes or flaws.
• Keep records of approved/defective units.
• Enter data into SPC database for quality control.
• Troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs.
• Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines.
• Maintain activity logs.
