Job summary

Altium Packaging in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced Machine Operator to run blow mold, grinder and trimmer equipment and support the production line for maximum efficiency. You will troubleshoot issues, perform minor maintenance, and work closely with teammates to meet quality standards.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 2+ years in a machine-operator role, with experience in blow molding and reading blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years' experience as a machine operator.
• Blow mold operation experience.
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills are required.
• Machine maintenance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Physical stamina and strength/able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (speed).
• Operate blow-mold machines (wheels, reciprocator or shuttle).
• Perform audits, weights and quality checks.
• Check output for machine-related mistakes or flaws.
• Keep records of approved/defective units or final products.
• Enter data into SPC database for quality control measures.
• Troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
• Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines.
• Maintain activity logs.
