Walser Automotive Group is hiring an Entry Level Technician at Bloomington Toyota in Bloomington. The role focuses on basic maintenance and inspections, with a starting pay of $18.30 per hour plus incentives. Candidates should be at least 18, able to lift 50 lbs, and open to learning in a family-owned, growth-oriented environment.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and potential career advancement within Walser’s extensive network across Minnesota, Kansas, and Illinois.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and filter.
• Tire inspection and repairs.
• Bulbs replacement.
• Lubrication of the chassis, body, front end, and drive train.
• Belt inspection and replacement.
• Hose inspection and visual inspection of other parts.
• Brake inspection, adjustment, and cleaning.
• Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs).
• Other light maintenance.
• Utilization of Truvideo/Estimate Tool.

Compensation: $18.30 + Incentives!

What You’ll Do:

• Completes the following maintenance:
• Change oil and filter
• Tire inspection and repairs
• Bulbs
• Lubrication of the chassis, body, front end, and drive train
• Belt inspection and replacement
• Hose inspection, and the visual inspection of other parts on the vehicle
• Brake inspection, adjustment, and cleaning
• Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)
• Other light maintenance
• Utilization of Truvideo/Estimate Tool
• Must wear safety eyewear at all times when in dealership service departments
• Must wear hard-toed shoes and slip resistant footwear in when in dealership service departments

What You Bring:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Prior experience performing oil changes and/or automotive school or training strongly preferred
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Must be able to work well with a partner
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles strongly preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
