Job summary

Walser Automotive Group in Wayzata, MN is looking for an automotive technician to perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire inspections, bulb and belt checks, lubrication, and pre-delivery inspections. You will work in a climate-controlled shop and support a fast-paced service department.

Applicants must be at least 18, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and have a valid driver’s license; prior oil-change experience or automotive training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods.
• Prior experience performing oil changes or automotive training preferred.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Must work well with a partner.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Completes maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes.
• Inspects tires, bulbs, belts, hoses and lubricates chassis and drive train.
• Inspects brakes, performs PDIs, and executes light maintenance.
• Uses tools like Truvideo/Estimate Tool and adheres to safety requirements.
• Upholds Walser's core values in daily work.

Compensation: $19.30/hour + incentives!

What You'll Do:

• Completes the following maintenance:
• Change oil and filter
• Tire inspection and repairs
• Bulbs
• Lubrication of the chassis, body, front end, and drive train
• Belt inspection and replacement
• Hose inspection, and the visual inspection of other parts on the vehicle
• Brake inspection, adjustment, and cleaning
• Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)
• Other light maintenance
• Utilization of Truvideo/Estimate Tool
• Must wear safety eyewear at all times when in dealership service departments
• Must wear hard-toed shoes and slip resistant footwear in when in dealership service departments
• All other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned

What You Bring:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
