Job summary

Walser Automotive Group in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking an entry-level Automotive Technician to perform basic vehicle maintenance. Responsibilities include oil changes, tire inspections, bulb replacements, lubrication, belt and hose inspections, brake checks, PDIs, and light maintenance.

Use Truvideo/Estimate Tool and wear safety eyewear and protective shoes in shop. Requirements include 18+ years old, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid driver's license, punctuality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Prior oil changes or automotive school/training is preferred.
• Punctual and reliable; able to work with a partner.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance (oil/filter, tires, bulbs).
• Lubricate chassis, body, and drivetrain; inspect belts and hoses.
• Inspect brakes, perform PDIs and other light maintenance.
• Follow safety rules (eyewear, safety shoes).
• Utilize Truvideo/Estimate Tool for job tasks.

Compensation: $18.30 + Incentives!

What You’ll Do:

• Completes the following maintenance:
• Change oil and filter
• Tire inspection and repairs
• Bulbs
• Lubrication of the chassis, body, front end, and drive train
• Belt inspection and replacement
• Hose inspection, and the visual inspection of other parts on the vehicle
• Brake inspection, adjustment, and cleaning
• Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)
• Other light maintenance
• Utilization of Truvideo/Estimate Tool
• Must wear safety eyewear at all times when in dealership service departments
• Must wear hard-toed shoes and slip resistant footwear in when in dealership service departments

What You Bring:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Prior experience performing oil changes and/or automotive school or training strongly preferred
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Must be able to work well with a partner
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles strongly preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
