Job summary

Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician in Bismarck, ND, to support patient care by receiving, preparing, and shipping blood products with precision. The role requires careful inspection of products and professional customer communication in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will operate company vehicles, maintain records, and ensure storage and equipment standards while adhering to SOPs. Weekend/on-call shifts and a Monday/Friday schedule are involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to accurately enter, review and maintain information using computer systems.
• Ability to follow detailed standard operating procedures and established quality requirements.
• Ability to work the schedule associated with the position, including weekends and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
• Deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle.
• Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
• Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
• Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.
