Job summary

Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician in Albuquerque, NM to manage the inventory of blood and blood products and to package and ship orders to local hospitals and patients. You will deliver products in a company vehicle and communicate order status and product availability, while maintaining accurate service records.

Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or GED, a valid New Mexico driver’s license, and at least six months of customer service experience; healthcare

• Prior healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Able to lift 40lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
• Professionally and safely deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle.
• Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
• Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
• Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.

You will support Vitalant’s life-saving mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products and facilitate the packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients. Whether you are just starting your career, or new to the blood banking industry, we’re here to train, mentor and help you grow.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 12pm-8:30pm + On-Call Rotation Every 6 Weeks

Starting Pay: $18.27 - $19.06
