Job summary

The American Red Cross in California is hiring a Blood Product Distribution Technician to receive, process, pack and ship blood products for hospital orders. You will triage orders by timing, carefully pack compliant products, and maintain traceable records while communicating with hospital clients, volunteers and vendors.

You may perform hospital deliveries and work a variable schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in a regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good computer skills; the ability to learn and navigate multiple types of software programs.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Ability to work proactively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, pack and ship blood products for hospital orders.
• Triage orders based on date and time needed.
• Maintain product records to preserve traceability.
• Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers and vendors.
• May make hospital deliveries.
• May require a variable schedule including weekends & holidays.
