Job summary

The American Red Cross in California seeks a Blood Product Distribution Technician to receive, pack and ship life-saving blood products for hospital orders. You will use advanced systems, triage orders by time, and maintain traceable product records with care and precision.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years' experience in a regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn multiple software programs.
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Ability to work proactively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure blood products are suitable for release and meet production goals.
• Maintain inventory control throughout manufacturing and shipping.
• Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements.
• Enter data for manufacturing, labeling, storage, ordering, and shipping.
• Analyze information to meet time requirements and quality standards.
• Identify and quarantine products that don't meet quality standards and disposition.
• May perform hospital deliveries as assigned.
• May require a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
