Job summary

Vitalant in Brisbane, CA is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician to manage blood product inventory and coordinate the packing and shipping of orders to local hospitals. You will inspect products for accuracy and communicate order status with clients. Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Starting pay: $23.00 – $24.40 hourly, based on experience. Requirements: high school diploma or GED, valid CA driver's license, and at least six months of customer service experience; healthcare

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid in-state driver’s license.
• Six months of customer service experience.
• Prior healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Able to lift 40lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
• Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
• Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
• Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.
• May deliver blood products to a hospital on occasion.
