Job summary

Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician in Brisbane, CA to support inventory management of blood and blood products, and to package and ship to local hospitals and patients. You will handle routing orders, perform visual inspections for accuracy, and coordinate with customers on fulfilment and timelines.

The role requires lifting up to 40 lbs and a valid in-state driver’s license; prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Six months of customer service experience required.
• Prior healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Able to lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
• Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
• Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
• Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.
