Job summary

The Blood Connection in Durham, NC is seeking an Account Manager in the Donor Resources Department to manage existing blood drive accounts, maximize production, and recruit new sponsors while coordinating with management to meet collection goals.

You will plan campaigns, build relationships with sponsor groups, provide excellent donor service, and educate the community at health fairs and events to promote blood drives and the mission of the organization.

Qualifications

• Outside sales and/or marketing experience 2 years preferred or related experience.
• Public speaking ability to sell The Blood Connection to all groups in the community.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions and dependable transportation.
• Effective and courteous communication with patrons, donors, sponsors, and co‑workers.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute strategies to recruit, retain, and manage sponsor groups to achieve territory blood collection goals.
• Establish blood drive projections in line with divisional resources and needs.
• Develop potential sponsor leads and coordinate drive planning.
• Coordinate meetings with sponsor groups to educate on recruitment techniques and drive goals.
• Provide superior customer service to blood donors, donor groups, and internal/external customers.
