Job summary

American Red Cross in Burlington, Vermont is hiring a Donor Services Associate to welcome donors, deliver exceptional customer service, and assist with blood collection campaigns onsite with local travel as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong people skills, and a valid driver’s license. Paid training is provided, with a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and strong people skills.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Position may require minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate Red Cross vehicles.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while adapting to changing priorities.
• Ability to lift, move and set up blood drive equipment.
• Ability to meet DOT requirements, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and support blood donors throughout the donation journey
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build meaningful donor relationships
• Collect blood and manage blood products following safety and quality standards
• Work as part of a team to create a positive donor experience
• Set up and transport equipment for community blood drives
• Travel to local blood drive locations using a Red Cross or personal vehicle
