Job summary

The American Red Cross in Waterloo, IA, seeks a staffed role to welcome blood donors and provide exceptional service throughout the donation journey. Onsite with local travel, you will help collect blood products while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include delivering confident donor experiences, transporting and setting up equipment, and travelling to drive locations as needed. A high school diploma and customer service skills are required; paid training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift, move and set up blood drive equipment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and support blood donors throughout the donation journey.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build meaningful donor relationships.
• Collect blood and manage blood products following safety and quality standards.
• Work as part of a team to create a positive donor experience.
• Set up and transport equipment for community blood drives.
• Travel to local blood drive locations using a Red Cross or personal vehicle.
