Job summary

UCHealth in Loveland, CO seeks a PRN phlebotomist to perform whole blood collection and apheresis procedures onsite, coordinating donor evaluation and product processing while driving mobile blood drives to collect from donors in the community and beyond.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Preferred phlebotomy training program through a health careers program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Qualifies donors according to regulatory and lab guidelines via questionnaire review and vitals evaluation.
• Performs waived and moderate complexity testing for pre-donation safety.
• Executes whole blood collections and apheresis of platelets, plasma, and RBCs per AABB and FDA guidelines.
• Processes, labels, stores, and ships blood components per regulatory guidelines.
• Work requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
