Job summary

Vitalant in Santa Barbara is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to perform donor collection and therapeutic apheresis in a team-driven environment. You will work to collect blood products while following safety standards and internal SOPs.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, an LVN license with Blood Withdrawal Certificate, and the ability to travel as needed. Compensation includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Six months healthcare-related work experience required.
• Valid in-state driver’s license preferred.
• Must read and follow written procedures; maintain confidentiality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs Apheresis Red Cell Collection and/or Plasma Pheresis.
• Performs Platelet Pheresis and/or Therapeutic Apheresis.
• Maintains compliance with SOPs and external regulations.
• Maintains donor and patient records, including apheresis charts.
• Delivers quality customer service and teamwork to meet daily goals.
• Drives company vehicle as required; maintains work area.
• Trains teammates on duties and stays certified in required tasks.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
