Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Ohio is seeking a supervisor to manage the biological blood components area and oversee product inventories. You will lead a team, schedule shifts, and ensure regulatory compliance, while delivering reliable service to hospitals and partners.

The role emphasizes leadership, process optimization, and collaboration with multiple departments in a 24/7 environment. A focus on quality and staff development is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and leadership ability.
• Experience in regulated environments is preferred.
• Ability to interpret SOPs and regulatory documents.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the processing of orders for blood, components, derivative products, and as applicable pharmacy products, consistent with regulatory standards while meeting customer expectations
• Manages inventories across the department to maintain adequate stock and coordinates with other Versiti locations
• Schedules staff and rotates shifts to ensure 24/7/365 operations
• Mentors staff, coaches performance, and supports continuous improvement
• Ensures compliance with quality control and regulatory requirements
