Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Indiana is recruiting a hands-on Supervisor to lead the Blood Distribution team, ensuring safe, efficient product flow and regulatory compliance. You will mentor staff, manage staffing and workflows around a 24/7 operation, and partner with Inventory and Quality teams to maintain high operational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
• 4–6 years supervisory experience preferred.
• 4–6 years experience in a regulated environment preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Blood center or laboratory experience preferred.
• May be required to meet IEMA/NRC criteria for trustworthiness and reliability to oversee certain operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of Blood Distribution and ensure timely, safe, and efficient product distribution.
• Supervise, coach, and develop team members through performance management and training.
• Manage staffing schedules, shift coverage, and workflow in a 24/7/365 operation.
• Partner with Inventory to balance local inventory based on collections and demand.
• Ensure products are labeled, stored, and distributed per FDA, AABB, and SOPs.
• Monitor compliance and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Conduct regular team meetings and communicate goals and performance expectations.
• Support budget planning and operational improvements.
• Provide off-shift, weekend, and holiday support as needed.
