Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to join our blood product operations in Richmond, VA. You will process and package blood components, perform data entry, and maintain accurate documentation to meet quality and production goals.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 2+ years in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment. Regular weekend shifts and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment.
• Good computer skills and ability to use laboratory equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork, with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Meet quality and quantity production goals, maintain documentation.
• Perform inventory management throughout manufacturing and distribution.
• Data entry and operation of production software.
• Analyze and make decisions based on visual inspection and information from other departments.
• Perform complex manufacturing tasks such as pooled product manufacturing, freeze, wash, deglycerolizing, and pathogen reduction.
• Communicate effectively with internal customers, vendors, and volunteers.
• May require flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
