Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a motivated team member to support the blood collections operation by acquiring, distributing and maintaining supplies and equipment used in daily collections. You will also handle delivery and return of materials, and may train other staff as needed.

Starting pay is $20.79/hour. This role requires a high school diploma, 3 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds with flexible hours, including early mornings,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education & related experience required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Ability to carry moderate weight; lift/move up to 75 pounds; work in tight spaces; use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage blood collection equipment and supplies including boxes, labels and canteen supplies.
• Take inventory and order supplies from the warehouse; fill requisitions from mobile and fixed sites.
• Provide training and support to other staff as directed.
• Interact in a positive, proactive, customer-focused manner with internal and external customers.
• May drive blood collection vehicles to load and unload required supplies and equipment.
