Job summary

The American Red Cross in Columbus, OH is seeking a Blood Collection Support Associate to help acquire, distribute, and maintain supplies for daily blood collection operations. You will ensure materials are stocked and ready, support training, and assist with delivery and return of items to internal and external customers.

Successful candidates have at least a high school diploma, 3 years of related experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education & related experience required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Ability to carry moderate weight and lift up to 75 pounds; flexible to schedule.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage blood collection equipment and supplies and prepare kits.
• Take inventory and order supplies from the warehouse and sites.
• Provide training and support to other staff as directed.
• Interact with internal and external customers in a positive, proactive way.
• May drive blood collection vehicles to load/unload supplies.
