Job summary

The American Red Cross in Burlington, Vermont is seeking a Blood Collection Support role to manage equipment, stock kits, and coordinate supplies for daily blood collections. You will assist with inventory, train staff, and interact professionally with donors and staff.

The schedule includes variable hours, with early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma, driving license, and ability to lift up to 75 pounds, plus basic computer skills and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education & related experience required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Ability to carry moderate weight and lift up to 75 pounds; flexible to shift changes.
• Basic computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage blood collection equipment and supplies; prepare kits per directives.
• Take inventory and order supplies; fulfill requisitions from sites.
• Provide training and support to other staff as directed.
• Interact positively with internal and external customers.
• May drive blood collection vehicles to load/unload supplies when needed.
