Job summary

American Red Cross in Arlington, Texas is seeking staff to assist with blood collection. The role includes welcoming donors, transporting and setting up equipment, and following safety procedures to ensure lifesaving donations reach hospitals.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided, and you will develop healthcare skills within the nation’s top humanitarian organization. Schedule may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and adapt to long, irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Take time to personally connect with donors and explain the impact of donations.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Ensure blood collected meets goals and regulatory requirements.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup/teardown at donation sites.
