Job summary

The American Red Cross is hiring for a role that supports blood collection operations and donor engagement. You will work with a team to set up equipment, greet donors, and ensure a safe, welcoming collection process.

Paid phlebotomy training is offered to develop healthcare skills within a national humanitarian organization. Starting pay is stated at $20.00 per hour with potential increases based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills required.
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record required.
• DOT certification required where applicable and able to obtain medical certification.
• Physical requirements include lifting, pushing or pulling, long hours and variable schedule; 60 inch height minimum for vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Take time to connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Ensure blood collection meets goals, regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setting up and tearing down equipment at donation sites.
