American Red Cross in Norfolk, VA is seeking individuals to join our phlebotomy team. No prior medical experience needed; paid training provided. You will assist with blood collection, create a welcoming environment for donors, and follow safety procedures to ensure quality and safety of every donation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights and long hours; height minimum 60 inches may be required for vehicle operation.
• Basic computer skills are required; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Take time to personally connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detail oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals and safety standards.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup/teardown at donation sites.
• Height minimum of 60 inches may be required for safe vehicle operation.
