Job summary

The American Red Cross in Columbus, OH is hiring for a phlebotomy-related donor technician role. Training is provided, no prior medical experience required, and you will help collect lifesaving blood donations at mobile drives.

You will engage with donors, maintain a welcoming environment, and follow safety procedures while meeting regulatory and quality standards. A valid driver's license and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Basic computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to personally connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detail oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals and regulatory requirements.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setting up and tearing down equipment.
